Location: Quality boutique resort, ideal for couples looking for total relaxation and rejuvenation. Built in 2007, this is one of the newest resorts in Port Douglas. Centrally located on the main street heading in to town, Shantara Resort is an easy 5 - 10 min walk to the popular shops and restaurants of Macrossan St, as well as the famous Four Mile beach.

Rooms: Rooms are located on higher floors of the resort with spacious balconies and outdoor settings. They have been designed with plenty of natural light and are furnished in a relaxed and modern style with luxury features including granite bench tops, European appliances, plasma tvs and a queen size bed. Studio apartments have shower only. Studio apartments offer kitchenette facilities including kettle, microwave, bar fridge, sink and crockery, as well as separate laundry facilities.

Restaurant: There is no restaurant on site, as accommodation is self contained, however there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants close by.

Exterior: Three storey building with dual key apartments. Contemporary architecture features through out and the resort offers guests modern facilities including two lagoon style swimming pools, BBQ and entertainment area, day spa treatment centre, air conditioned gymnasium and tour desk.

Lobby: Cool, airconditioned lobby with friendly reception and tour desk facilities.

General: Quality boutique resort offering secluded luxury in a central location - especially suited to couples. Children over 16 are welcome, however this resort does not cater for families with young children. (rc1109).
